Snowmobiling from Gullfoss
Your snowmobile adventure starts at Gullfoss Café, located by the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, where you will get picked up by one of our expert snowmobiling guides. Gullfoss Waterfall is one of the three key attractions of the famous Golden Circle and therefore a great add-on to your day of sightseeing in Iceland. From there you will proceed towards Langjökull Glacier in a specialized Super-Jeep, an exciting experience in itself. After arriving at our glacier base camp, you will be provided with a snowmobile suit, gloves, balaclava and helmet for your snowmobile ride. Your professional glacier snowmobiling guide will then show you how to safely operate a snowmobile before your one-hour excursion officially starts. Langjökull Glacier is home to several enormous ice-filled volcanic craters, rimmed in by imposing volcanoes and set in the breathtaking Icelandic interior. The views from the flanks of Langjökull are quite incredible. In the distance rests Eiríksjökull glacier, the highest mountain in west Iceland, the dome-shaped Hofsjökull glacier, and Kerlingafjöll Mountain range.
The Glacier Snowmobiling From Gullfoss tour is a scenic and fun glacier tour – perfect for those that have their own car and can meet us directly at Gullfoss!
